What is RF Microneedling Skin Tightening?
Profound skin tightening uses a combination of microneedling and radio frequency (RF) energy to stimulate rejuvenation of the skin. The process is performed using a handheld device that emits RF through tiny needles. The needles penetrate the skin to deliver RF heat energy at the right depth and for a specific amount of time. With the needle penetration and treatment with RF energy, the skin begins to produce more collagen and elastin in response. As this process progresses in the skin, it becomes tighter, reducing loose skin and defining facial features. Lines and wrinkles smooth, sagging is less pronounced, and the volume of the skin looks more youthful.
The time needed for this procedure depends on the size of the area that is treated. In most cases, a facial treatment will take about one to two hours. We numb the skin before the treatment to reduce any discomfort. After the treatment, recovery is about five to seven days, with some swelling, bruising, redness and flaking of the skin as it heals.
