- This is one of the most common options, helping remove excess skin and fat under the eye. For younger patients, a transconjunctival blepharoplasty lift to only remove fat under the eye can be performed. Older patients may need more extensive lifting, removing excess skin and fat while adjusting the position of the fat pads and muscle.
- Upper eyelid lifts.
- Upper eyelid blepharoplasty does not have as many options but can be transforming. Removing a small amount of skin from the upper lid can open the eyes, reducing a hooded, tired eye.
- Fat transposition.
- Dr. Stong often uses fat transposition in conjunction with other blepharoplasty procedures. This removes fat from the lower eyelid and places it in the corners of the eye. This smooths the transition from eyes to cheeks for a more natural appearance.
