On the subject of the Real Housewives of New Jersey show on Bravo TV, another cast member comes to mind when we discuss transformations that have occurred over the seasons. Bombshell and upcoming music star, Melissa Gorga, showed off what looked like a new nose this past season on RHONJ. Her nose has appeared to make many transformations, as subtle changes, over the years. Take a look at a photo of her when she was very young:
She has always been a striking girl with beautiful Italian features. Of course, we all change as we get older, and features can drastically change during formative teenage years. Melissa has never admitted to getting a nose job. She has said that she has used makeup techniques, such as contouring and highlighting, to make her nose appear more narrow. On one of the RHONJ episodes, when questioned about having a nose job by host Andy Cohen, she asked him if he could see the “white line down her face” referring to highlighting makeup used for the purpose of deflecting focus from the nose. Contouring and highlighting can make a dramatic impact and temporarily alter one’s features, but as the photos below show, we think there may be more to it than simply makeup.
The changes have been subtle over the years, and we think Melissa looks great. Double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Benjamin Stong (who is not affiliated with Melissa Gorga), stated, “From the photos, it does appear work has been done to Melissa’s nose, especially to the tip. In recent photos it appears more narrow, elevated, and refined.” It seems surgical rhinoplasty has been performed, but sometimes subtle changes can be accomplished using facial fillers. It is certainly Melissa’s personal business to choose whether or not to disclose what work she has had done, but it is harder to hide cosmetic surgery and procedures when you are a celebrity who is constantly in the limelight. At any rate, we think Melissa is gorgeous and fabulous, and can’t wait to see her on next season’s RHONJ!
