We’ve all seen it… the frightening results of what bad facial cosmetic surgery looks like. Plastic surgery is meant to enhance an appearance, not totally change it. Many patients even want their “work” to be a secret. The goal is hear, “You look great! What have you been doing?” Not, “You look different… What have you had done?” Check out these celeb procedures that have produced scary results:
Facelift: Have you ever seen someone who looks like their face has been in front of an industrial fan? (Ahem, Joan Rivers) This “windswept” look is the effect of an out of date facelift method where only the skin is pulled backwards. Dr. Stong uses innovative facelift techniques that work below the surface to offer the longest possible corrections for the jowl and the jaw line.
Browlift: No one wants to look permanently “startled,” but that’s the look you’ll get if you have a bad brow lift, or forehead lift. A bad brow lift occurs when an excess of skin is removed and is pulled too tight. Kenny Rogers is a good example of a brow lift gone wrong. Men tend to have a naturally heavier brow, which is a sign of attractiveness, but brow lifts in men can result in a more feminine appearance if pulled too tight.
Rhinoplasty: Rhinoplasty is recommended for patients who desire to change the shape of their nose. The nose can be altered in many ways including removing humps, reducing nostril flare, and reshaping the tip of the nose. When a nose looks pinched or is turned upward resulting in too much nostril show, like La Toya Jackson’s, it can be obvious that the person had a Rhinoplasty. This can sometimes alter the person’s appearance drastically and throw off their facial symmetry.
Lip Injections: Some celebrities have gone way overboard to plump their pouts. For example, Lindsay Lohan’s overly injected lips seem to give her odd permanent pucker. Too much filler can cause an unnatural appearance, often referred to as “trout pout” or “duck lips.” A good injector will have a vast knowledge of facial anatomy and know how to create an ideal facial proportion without going overboard.
