This month, Cameron Diaz unveiled her new book, entitled The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, The Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body, which is all about being healthy and loving one’s self in the process. Cameron shares lots of personal details about her own issues with self image, and how she has come to accept who she is, being completely comfortable in her own skin. It sounds like a very uplifting read to us, and also seems to send a very positive message. This photo of Cameron (below) shows the starlet sans-makeup in an effort to promote the message of her new book.
When it comes to plastic surgery, Cameron Diaz admitted to undergoing rhinoplasty surgery in 2006. She said at the time that the surgery was “medically necessary” following a surfing accident that allegedly left one side of her nose shattered. Photos of the star throughout her career definitely point to some nose transformations.
The star has also admitted to having Botox injections. She documents this cosmetic experience in her book, but states she wasn’t a fan of the injections, as they apparently altered her face in a way she didn’t like. Cameron says she’s happy to show off the “lines” on her face, as they point to years of laughter. We think this is a very healthy way to view the aging process.
When Botox injections are performed correctly, however, they should not alter one’s face; rather, they should soften expression lines using a natural, subtle technique. It is important to find a skilled injection specialist who knows how to preserve the uniqueness of a patient’s face and features. Plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures like Botox are done best when the result makes the patient look better without being overly obvious or unnatural.
